A Company Born From Love…
Owners, Rick & Wendy Foster, got the idea for the company when we fell in love and decided to tie the knot. Wanting a rustic feel to our wedding, we wanted to incorporate barrels into our theme.
Unfortunately, all the places we found to buy barrels were located on the west coast and we would have to pay twice the cost of the barrel just for shipping! There had to be a better way!
Rick found a place that would sell him barrels in bulk and was looking for a distributor in the NC area. Being the resourceful entrepreneur he saw an opportunity to fill a need in the area to supply local breweries, vineyards, distilleries, and other barrel enthusiasts. We combined this need with Rick’s love for woodworking to create Carolina Barrel & Custom Wrx.
